Curriculum Model

12 subjects are taught across KS1 and KS2. English is allocated the most time as it includes: speaking and listening, phonics, spelling, reading, handwriting and writing and is taught daily as is Maths. The English and Maths time allocation is used as appropriate depending on the age and need of the children.

Physical Education is taught for two hours each week and this is linked to child development, health and wellbeing.

Total school hours available = 6 hours 30 minutes per day (plus 15 minutes soft start each morning)  

All children have 1 hour lunchtime and KS2 have x1 15 min break and KS1 have x2 15 min break

EYFS is not included in these allocations as EYFS practice does not follow this model.
