Applying to our Sixth Form

Thank you for your interest in The Duston School’s Sixth Form. We are a school that is keen to welcome applications from external students, and have a significant intake of students who took GCSEs at different institutions before choosing to join us.

Our offer provides students with a range of opportunities to fully develop and grow in their Sixth Form studies. These include:

  • A broad and personalised curriculum offer

  • In depth pastoral support

  • A specific, separate Sixth Form area

Students who have studied at The Duston School have been exceptionally well prepared for their Post 18 pathways, whether that is attending a top university, continuing with further training or embarking on a career. We pride ourselves on having a thriving learning community where students are fully supported to reach their potential.

In this pack you will find an overview of the curriculum offer and an application form. Please complete this and return it to the school. We will then contact you to arrange an interview and to discuss the suitability of your choices. If you can’t decide on which subjects to pick, please inform us on your form so we can discuss the matter fully during the interview and support you to make the right choices for your future. Can I ask that you look carefully at the specific subject entry requirements as, to ensure student suitability; we have to be strict on all applicants achieving their required grades.
